On 20th July Blessing Nyahuma, a postgraduate student from Zimbabwe, who is doing his doctorate in theology at Bamberg University, was giving a talk on South Africa for our students in year 10.

His inspiring lecture did not only tell the pupils about a fascinating country with incredible landscapes and wildlife, but also about the bleak realities beyond the dream of a happy rainbow nation. He pointed out that it is especially the deep gulf between rich and poor that leads to soaring crime rates.

Thus this lecture will help our students understand the current news on South Africa with lots of people leaving their home driven away by the fear for their chidren’s safety.

Thank you for this talk, Blessing.
